About

I am Savyasachi, a big movie buff and one who enjoys watching movies not only for the entertainment but also because there is a lot we can learn and take from films. To put it in Steve Martin’s words, “You know what your problem is, it’s that you haven’t seen enough movies – all of life’s riddles are answered in the movies”.

Since I happened to be in India my entire life (yet), I have been exposed to Bollywood and also a bit of Hollywood as a child, but since the last couple of years I have started watching foreign language films, international films and classics as well. This blog is one way to try my hand at reviewing movies and making it available for others to read, comment and post their thoughts.

This blog is a place where I would like to invite everyone who likes watching films, to comment and post their thoughts and ideas about films. We can discuss films, cinematography, lights, camera, film-makers and other such aspects of a movie.

There is also a group on Facebook which you can join for discussions, recommendations and other updates.

    Hi Savyasachi,

I got to know about your blog from your friend, Sakhi. After visiting your blog, I felt compelled to get in touch with you, as I also share the same passion for movies. In a true sense, movie buff!

I have been thinking about doing something with my passion for these movies something meaningful and revolutionary. So currently trying to network with the ‘birds’ of the same feathers.

Also must say that your blog is great! I am in pune currently, so meeting you wouldn’t be possible, but may be if we could discuss some ideas on email, it would be great!

    Do write back,

    Rupali
